Calix Launches Fiber Forward Partner Program

Over 60 select partners leveraging Calix expertise to deliver innovative broadband solutions globally

PETALUMA, CA – June 16, 2014 – Calix, Inc. (NYSE:CALX, news, filings) today announced the launch of its Fiber Forward Partner Program, a highly selective program for Channel Partners that matches the world-class access innovation of Calix with local market leadership by local Partners to deliver compelling new broadband services for communications service providers worldwide. A growing number of over 60 Channel Partners on six different continents are members of the Program today, driving deployments of the Calix Unified Access portfolio in 85 countries worldwide to date. Program members are finding Calix to be an ideal partner in meeting the emerging broadband needs in their respective markets, where the relationship is driving new market opportunities, rapid results, and an improved bottom line.

“In working with Calix, we have found a partner that truly fits with our business model and who was very engaged and focused on our unique market requirements,” said Abraham van der Merwe, managing director at Frogfoot Networks in South Africa. “As a newly Certified Partner, we are already well underway with multiple customers in southern Africa for both residential and business networks and we have found the partnership to be very rewarding on both ends. While the Calix E7-2 has been very simple to deploy and tremendously scalable, the same can be said about the relationship between our two companies.”

Within the Fiber Forward Partner Program, there are several levels of partnership that Channel Partners can work towards:

  • Master Certified Partners have developed comprehensive skills to support Calix-based broadband access networks. The key requirements include achieving Calix Specialist and Professional certification levels for engineers within the partner company. The support delivery quality is also a key metric measured.
  • Champion Partners have performed important market development initiatives such as organizing regular lead-generation customer events and purchasing demonstration kits. Another key requirement is for Channel Partners to achieve Calix Certified Sales Expert (CSE) and Calix Pre-Sales Architect Expert (CAE) levels.
  • Elite Partners are Channel Partners which have achieved both the Master Certified and the Champion status. Elite Partners are the most qualified Calix partners from both technical and marketing perspectives.

“Calix Channel Partners have been an instrumental part of the growth of the company in the past several years,” said Jean-Francois Rousseau, Calix international channel sales director. “With the flexibility of the Fiber Forward Partner Program, Calix can quickly integrate our engagement model into the individual business models of each channel partner. Thanks to these close relationships between Calix and our growing base of Channel Partners, we have been able to optimize our combined sales engagement and deliver a complete solution to service providers of all sizes around the world, growing our Channel Partners’ market opportunities, driving rapid results and increasing their bottom line.”
