Global Colocation Solutions Services Provider CyrusOne Commissions New Data Hall at Carrollton Facility

Customer demand drives addition of 60,000 square feet in Dallas data center

Dallas, TX (April 17, 2014) – Global colocation solutions provider CyrusOne (:CONE, news) recently expanded its Carrollton data center, starting construction on the addition of 60,000 square feet and 6 megawatts of power capacity. The largest facility of its kind in the state and one of the most energy-efficient in the United States, at full capacity, the Carrollton data center is expected to have 400,000 square feet of raised-floor data center space, approximately 60,000 square feet of Class A office space, and up to 80 megawatts of power capacity at full build.

“Due to strong customer demand for our data center product offering, we made the decision to add 60,000 square feet of colocation space with 6MW of critical capacity to this facility,” said John Hatem, senior vice president, design and construction, CyrusOne. “As one of our largest facilities, the Carrollton location illustrates our Massively Modular® engineering and design philosophy. We can quickly scale our data center footprint to meet the requirements of our customers to handle their growing mission-critical production and disaster recovery needs.”
