TeliaSonera International Carrier continues Middle East expansion – Partners with Ooredoo for Point of Presence in Qatar

TeliaSonera International Carrier today announced a partnership with Qatari  telecommunications company Ooredoo, to meet the growing demand for of high performance connectivity to and from the region.

TeliaSonera International Carrier (TSIC), which owns and operates one of the world’s most extensive fiber backbones, will further expand its network in the Middle East with a Point of Presence (PoP)* in Qatar which will be operated and managed in Doha by Ooredoo.

* A Point of Presence (PoP) is the physical location where communication devices establish a connection, a PoP then supplies the necessary link that makes the exchange of communication and high volumes of data possible.
