FairPoint Communications Continues to Bring More Broadband to Maine

FairPoint expands Broadband service in Rumford, North Yarmouth and Falmouth

PORTLAND, Maine (March 26, 2014) – More Mainers quickly e-mail photos, download music, participate in e-learning and video conferencing now that FairPoint Communications has expanded broadband service to 385 homes and businesses in the town of Rumford, North Yarmouth and Falmouth, Maine. FairPoint high-speed Internet is available for the first time to the eligible customers living in the areas described below.

Since April 2008, FairPoint has invested more than $700 million in its communications infrastructure and technology to reach new customers, upgrade its network and expand broadband in northern New England, including building thousands of miles of new fiber across the region, offering customers a better, faster way to communicate.

  • Rumford: Andover, Blanchard, Dragoons, Eaton Hill, John F. Kennedy Lane, Jones Avenue, Prospect Avenue, Raymond, Royal Avenue, Rumford Avenue, Sagadahoc Avenue, Sunnyside Terrace, U.S. Route 2 and Valley.
  • North Yarmouth: Birchwood Terrace, Cluff, Colawicki Drive, Dirt, Dragon Fly Lane, Fieldstone Drive, Marston Way, Meehan Lane, Mill, Milliken, New Gloucester, North, Packard Farm, Rocky, Snow Hook Trail, Southerly View, Stowell Brooke, Sunset Point, Titcomb Field and White Pine Lane.
  • Falmouth: Autumn Way, Gray, Hadlock, Hurricane, Linsausiq Way, Nicholis Way, Patricia’s Way, Schuster, Shaw, Sulky way, Timber Farm Way, Trolley Farm and Winters Way.
