Schiphol-Rijk The Netherlands, February 18, 2014 – INTERXION HOLDING NV (NYSE:INXN, news), a leading European provider of cloud and carrier-neutral colocation data centre services, announces that TDC, Denmark’s largest connectivity provider, will install a Point of Presence (PoP) in Interxion’s data centre in Hilversum, as part of its continued European expansion.
With the agreement, Interxion adds another carrier with a high-quality international network to its long list of connectivity providers and ISP’s within its data centre in Hilversum. For Interxion’s customers this provides even more network and Internet connectivity choice.
TDC’s customers will have access to a wider network and Dutch companies will have the opportunity to make use of the network and services of TDC more efficiently. This will be of particular interest to parties that have or expect to have network activity in Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Finland, Iceland, and further to the Baltics and Russia.
TDC chose Interxion’s data centre in Hilversum for its strategic location, between connectivity hubs Amsterdam, Frankfurt and Hamburg, and for the seamless connectivity it provides to their GasLine network and major fibre routes. TDC has plans to further optimise its network performance from other Interxion data centres.
