New Sacramento Data Center Development

February 24, 2014 – Data center developer Gold Data Centers has purchased a Sacramento area 30,000 square foot former data center to develop into a Tier 3 mini-wholesale data center with 14,000 square feet of data center space and 3 megawatts of electrical power.

The location is in an established data center neighborhood in Rancho Cordova with access to 10 telecom fiber carriers and dual power feeds from 2 different sub-stations, and within a half mile to over a dozen data centers.

Gold Data Centers will develop the technical space into two phases, allowing for 1800KW of critical load IT power at 2N redundancy, with a PUE of approximately 1.40. Tenants can occupy their own data center suites from 450KW and 3,400 SF up to 14k sf and 1800kw. Development will start within 2 months and be ready by October 2014.

“Currently, there is no available wholesale data center space available in Sacramento. We are delivering a quality scalable data center product to the many enterprise firms and data center operators in Northern California with a need for this product. The response so far has been tremendous and we are already looking forward to planning phase 2” said Bill Minkle of Gold Data Centers. TelAxis is listing agent for Gold Data Centers www.telaxis.com .
