Huawei Rated as Top SDN and NFV Solutions Supplier by Telecom Operators

Shenzhen, China, February 21, 2014]: Huawei, a leading global information and communications technology (ICT) solutions provider, announced today that it has been rated as a top supplier for Software-Defined Networking (SDN) and Network Functions Virtualization (NFV) solutions by telecom operators, according to a recent SDN/NFV survey conducted by leading analyst firm Current Analysis.

With feedback from 100 senior executives including CTOs and CMOs from telecom network operators around the world, the survey focused on carrier strategies and approaches to SDN and NFV solution deployment and revealed the key considerations and vendor preferences in carrier purchase process of SDN and NFV solutions, as well as reviewed all the major vendors that are providing SDN and/or NFV solutions. Huawei achieved exceptional results in multiple categories: it was chosen as the top vendor in which operators will most likely to purchase SDN solutions from (69%) as well as the vendor in which operators will likely to purchase or are already purchasing SDN solutions from (79%). Additionally, 67% of respondents indicated a preference to purchase NFV solutions from Huawei, and 76% of them mentioned they are likely to purchase or are already purchasing NFV solutions from Huawei, making Huawei the most preferred supplier of NFV solutions (tied for first).
