Telehouse sister company, CDNetworks Increases US/EMEA Revenue by 30% YoY in 2013

San Jose, Calif. – Jan. 17, 2014 – Recapping 2013, CDNetworks increased combined new logo revenue in the US and Europe by 30% over 2012. In addition, CDNetworks added more points of presence, expanding to 86 cities in 36 countries around the globe, including Kuwait, Cairo, Brazil, Oman, and India, allowing customers to forge new markets while providing the same user experience no matter where their customers and employees are located.

“The CDNetworks US/EMEA team had an incredible 2013 with increased revenue, higher bookings, and expanded global reach,” said Jeff Kim, President & COO, CDNetworks Americas & EMEA.  “We’re serving more customers with an ever expanding network that provides high performance and availability even during massive spikes in traffic, such as peak seasons for online shopping and online game launches.”

Ninety-four new logos were added in 2013 including: online retail customers BallySlyde WatchesRemy Cointreau, and Groupe Casino; gaming customer Digital ChocolateNCSOFT and one of the largest gaming platforms; as well as cloud technology customers Outfit7 (Talking Tom), Yatedo and Omnifone. Customers chose CDNetworks for global reach and high performance.

“CDNetworks will enable us to accelerate the expansion of Omnifone’s cloud-based digital music platform, MusicStation, within the APAC region,” said Doug Imrie, Chief Operating Officer, Omnifone.  “Before we made our decision, we ran several performance tests with CDNetworks and some of its competitors. CDNetworks’ technology was the fastest in terms of the time it took to play a track from the initial click of a button.”

Several new products were introduced in 2013 including SAP application acceleration showing 650% improvement in login response times.  Cloud Security launched in August with global support for DDoS mitigation.  CDNetworks’ Cloud DNS service got a boost in 2013 increasing to 48 Cloud Domain Name System (DNS) Servers located around the world, surpassing all leading DNS networks.  CDNetworks also achieved a third year of PCI-DSS certification, ensuring customers can trust CDNetworks with their sensitive data including payment card information.
