Metro Ethernet Forum Honors Verizon as Global Service Provider of the Year for Fifth Consecutive Year

For the fifth consecutive year, the Metro Ethernet Forum has named Verizon its Global Service Provider of the Year, in recognition of the company’s leadership and commitment to innovation in delivering carrier Ethernet business services.

Verizon also took top global honors for best marketing, as well as accolades in North American for best wholesale Ethernet service and in the Caribbean-Latin American region for best marketing.

The Metro Ethernet Forum Carrier Ethernet Awards recognize companies for leadership, innovation and excellence in the development, marketing and delivery of carrier Ethernet business services around the globe. The 2013 global and regional finalists were judged by a panel of senior industry analysts from Frost & Sullivan, Gartner, IDC, Infonetics, Ovum and Vertical Systems Group. The winners of the 2013 awards were announced on Nov. 20.
