Verizon Hosts First Connected Technology Tour Virtual Conference and Expo

by Michelle Munoz-Talcott

Machine to Machine (M2M) solutions are transforming the way private and public sector organizations work – from remote tracking of assets to gathering and analyzing data, these solutions can help them run their organizations more efficiently. Verizon, with deep expertise in M2M solutions, hosted its first Connected Technology Tour Virtual Conference and Expo earlier this month, demonstrating how private and public sector organizations can transform their environments with M2M solutions. The virtual conference was based on a series of in-person local events highlighting Verizon’s M2M solutions and products, and M2M Provider ecosystem.

By offering the conference online, Verizon provides broader access to some of the most popular aspects of the in-person events. Developers, SMB owners and C-level executives had direct contact with M2M solutions and the solutions providers to see how connected technologies are able to enhance their business.

The virtual conference highlighted M2M applications within all vertical markets concentrating specifically on applications within the finance, healthcare, manufacturing, retail, energy, transportation, security and government sectors.

Program highlights included:

  • Business Continuity with Cisco, Cradlepoint and Ventus Wireless – Industry experts discussed holistic back-up wireless network solutions and why verticals such as retail, manufacturing, government, and finance are implementing business continuity technology into their organizations.
  • Remote Access Monitor with Exosite – This demonstration showed how manufacturers, integrators and product companies looking to interface directly with their equipment and securely can remotely view and analyze operational data – like temperature, vibration, consumption or how assets are being used.
  • Virtual Provider booths – Verizon Enterprise Solutions, Verizon Terremark and our Networkfleet team along with our Providers including CalAmp, Cisco, CradlePoint, Digi, Elecsys, eTrak, Exosite, IC Realtime, IDEAL LIFE, ILS Technology, Invensys, Multi-Tech, Novatel Wireless, Sierra Wireless, Telit Wireless, Velociti, and Ventus Wireless featured key M2M solutions within a broad range of verticals.

A recorded version of the conference, conveniently divided by presentation, is available online until December 12. To learn more and visit http://ctt.vzwtechnologies.com/event/virtual.
