Sonus Networks Names Pamela Reeve to Board of Directors

Sonus Networks, Inc., a global leader in SIP-based communications, today announced the appointment of Pamela Reeve to its board of directors, expanding its base of directors to nine. Reeve’s extensive executive, board and community leadership experience is expected to help accelerate the company’s ambition to lead the global session border controller (SBC) growth category.

“I am delighted to join the Sonus board”

From 1989 to 2004, Reeve was the president and chief executive officer and a director of Lightbridge, Inc., a global provider of mobile business solutions, offering products and services for the wireless communications industry. Prior to joining Lightbridge in 1989, Reeve spent eleven years as a consultant and operations executive at Boston Consulting Group, Inc.

Since 2002 Reeve has served as a director at American Tower Corporation and has been its lead director since 2004. Reeve currently serves on the board of directors of Frontier Communications Company, and previously served as a director of NMS Communications Corp. and Livewire Mobile, Inc. Reeve is a Trustee of Massachusetts Technology Leadership Council (former Chair), The Massachusetts General Physicians Organization (Vice Chair) and The Commonwealth Institute (Vice Chair, former Chair). In 2011 she was appointed by Governor Patrick to the board of the Massachusetts Technology Collaborative. Reeve was the founding CEO of opennairboston.net, the Boston wireless initiative.

In 2000 Reeve was recognized as Entrepreneur of the Year in Software and Technology by Ernst & Young. In 2002 she was recognized as CEO of the Year by the Massachusetts Telecom Council. Reeve earned her MBA degree, with distinction, from the Harvard Business School, and received her undergraduate degree, with honors, from the University of Georgia Honors Program.

Howard Janzen, chairman of the board of directors, commented, “We have made great progress during the past several years under Ray Dolan’s leadership as our CEO. We are thrilled to add Pam to our board and believe her extensive leadership experience will help us continue our positive momentum into 2014 and beyond.”

“I am delighted to join the Sonus board,” said Pamela Reeve. “The company has demonstrated consistent progress in delivering on its strategy to be an SBC market leader. I am excited to help shape and accelerate its next phase of growth.”
