(Atlanta, GA) – FiberLight, LLC, one of the nation’s leading providers of mission critical, high performance fiber optic networks, announces the completion of another critical milestone in its extensive Texas Expansion effort with the successful deployment of the company’s first 100 gigabit link between Dallas and Fort Worth Texas.
FiberLight has taken on a major spotlight in the state of Texas with its state of the art 8,000 mile fiber optic build, of which will be totaling out to 9,500 plus miles of fiber in the state of Texas. “The completion of our 100gig test and turn up marks an extremely significant milestone accomplishment for FiberLight,” said Judd Carothers EVP of Network Operations and Engineering. ”This deployment continues to further solidify FiberLight’s capabilities from a technology perspective and it’s ability to perform in one of the countries fasting growing Metropolitan Markets.”
FiberLight is utilizing the Fujitsu 9500 platform to deliver its 100g wavelengths. FiberLight has continued to expand the Fujitsu 9500 topology outside of the DASH network (FiberLight’s Dallas, Austin, San Antonio and Houston Long-Haul Network) it successfully deployed earlier this year. ”The capabilities of the 9500 and the Interoperability of it with the existing Fujitsu utilized 7500 DWDM network in the Dallas/Fort Worth metro have proven to be a winning combination for our metro and long haul deployment efforts,” said Carothers.
FiberLight’s Chief Operating Officer, Paul Pierron, is thrilled with FiberLight’s accomplishments so far around the build. “At the conclusion of this $300 million build we will have one of the largest commercially viable 4LTE networks and footprint in the state of Texas,” said Pierron.
