Cedexis Radar Extends Cloud Coverage and Access – 50+ Clouds Benchmarked, Windows 8 App Access

Cedexis Radar provides IT pros the data needed for an agile content delivery strategy

Portland, Oregon and Paris, France   July 22, 2013 Cedexis, a leading global SaaS platform for Big Data optimization of website and mobile application availability and performance, today announced an extension of its Radar community services with the addition many new Clouds to the Radar independent benchmark and the availability of Radar reports as an app for Windows 8. These additions put the Radar communities’ Cloud and CDN performance data at the fingertips of IT executives and network managers. With the addition of multiple regional and worldwide Cloud platforms, the Cedexis Radar benchmark is the leading source of real-user-experience performance data on Clouds and CDNs for IT professionals’ decision making.

The Cedexis Radar community now measures more than 50 Cloud platforms and is the leading independent, global Cloud performance benchmark. Radar collects over 40 billion real-end-user measurements (RUM) each month. These real-time measurements detail the end-user-experience performance of major Clouds around the globe, enabling informed Cloud assessment and management by IT professionals worldwide.  Radar’s wide range of performance metrics keep IT professionals informed about their Cloud partners’ performance, both in absolute terms and in comparison to other providers.

Recent additions to the Cedexis Radar Cloud Benchmark include:  Aruba Cloud; ASPserveur; Cloud Sigma;   Cloudprovider.nl; eNocloud;     Rackspace Cloud; Savvis Cloud; Savvis Cloud; and Virtacore.

Recognizing that the growth of the Radar benchmarks had created a wealth of data the community members want to mine, the Cedexis Radar Windows 8 app has been developed to provide intuitive content presentation and analysis.

The new Radar for Windows 8 app provides highly-interactive, comparative reporting making, Radar Cloud and CDN performance data more accessible than ever.  Radar performance-benchmark data is now, literally, at the fingertips of IT professionals as they continue to move applications to external-cloud-hosting platforms.  Windows 8 was selected for the first Cedexis application to maximize alignment with its business-class-user base and to take advantage of the reach of Windows 8.

“The Cedexis Radar app is a great example of how Windows 8 puts business intelligence at the fingertips of business professionals, and adds value to the data through compelling interactivity and visualization,” said John Richards, senior director of Windows App Marketing for Microsoft Corp.

“As Cloud and CDN adoption continue to accelerate, enterprise IT professionals require objective third-party data to make increasingly strategic Cloud vendor and Cloud region/location decisions.  The new Windows 8 app provides IT decision makers with quicker access to the performance data of both existing and potential providers, so they can make well-informed decisions, in real time,” said Marty Kagan Co-Founder of Cedexis.

Cedexis Radar remains a free community, and is now available from a number of third-party marketplaces, including Rackspace Cloudtools, the Microsoft Windows 8 App store and the Cedexis website.

The app for Windows 8 is available immediately for FREE download from the Windows App Store.
