Zayo Group Completes Integration with Telarus GeoQuote

BOULDER, Colo., – June 12, 2013 – Zayo Group, a provider of high-bandwidth infrastructure and carrier-neutral colocation services, today announced the completion of its integration with GeoQuote, the real-time bandwidth quote tool. Pricing for Dedicated Internet Access (DIA) and IP Transit services has been added to GeoQuote at 5,000+ fiber-lit buildings. The tool can also be used to quickly qualify sites for MPLS service.

“We’re working together with Telarus to enable our channel partners to sell across our entire footprint,” says Glenn Russo, EVP of Zayo Group. “We want to help agents work as efficiently as possible, which will earn Zayo a growing share of their high-bandwidth portfolio.”

GeoQuote, created by Telarus in 2003 and patented in 2009, provides commercial broadband consultants with real-time access to carrier pricing and availability. Now that Zayo’s information has been loaded into the system, users of GeoQuote can easily find available bandwidth for DIA and IP Transit ranging from 100 Mb to 10 Gb, and can also use the tool for bulk site MPLS qualification. Zayo is the first provider to offer real-time pricing for 10GigE service through GeoQuote, and is among a select few to offer GigE pricing.

“Having Zayo’s high-bandwidth offering available in GeoQuote is going to be a game-changer in the channel,” added Adam Edwards, President of Telarus. “Anytime you make it this easy to find and source DIA and IP Transit services, sales have a way of coming your way. With almost 12,000 buildings on-net and 75,000 route miles, Zayo has one of the most expansive fiber networks in the world. With the successful completion of their integration with GeoQuote, it will be a very intuitive and straightforward process to gather the information required to bring Zayo into sales opportunities involving high bandwidth.”

“Being able to get a real-time quote for Zayo IP service gives me a distinct advantage,” says Deon Hines, Internet Sales Manager for Wolfe Internet Services, a Telarus Sales Agent. “Zayo’s offerings are compelling in and of themselves, but being able to provide my clients with a formal proposal in a matter of minutes significantly increases my chances to sell Zayo’s Tier-1 services.”
