BROOMFIELD, Colo., June 27, 2013 /PRNewswire/ — Level 3 Communications, Inc. ATLANTIC-ACM, a leading telecommunications research company, announced the awards last night at a ceremony in New York City. The awards are based on results from the 2013 North American Business Connectivity Report Card. Carriers are rated in key product and service categories based on nearly 5,000 individual provider ratings from a mix of small, medium and large enterprise survey participants. The Network Performance category is the perception of each carrier’s network performance based on their network’s quality, availability and uptime. The Brand category measures perception of each carrier’s corporate image.

“We are honored to receive these two noteworthy awards, which are testament to the superior customer experience provided by Level 3,” said Andrew Crouch, Level 3 regional president of North America. “In particular, achieving the highest score for the brand category demonstrates the positive customer perception of Level 3 broadly, based on distinguishing attributes such as our responsiveness to customer needs and the quality of our services. It’s very gratifying to receive this customer validation of where we believe we excel in the market.”

Since 1995, the ATLANTIC-ACM Report Card series has been a principal source of carrier performance benchmarking information for the telecom industry. The Large Service Provider group is defined by the research firm as carriers who earn $1.0 billion or more annually in business services revenue, according to ATLANTIC-ACM’s 2013 U.S. Telecom Sizing and Share Report.

“Level 3’s two Best In Class awards in key categories reflect their continued effort to beat enterprise customer expectations where it counts, as our end-user surveys find that network performance is the most important criteria influencing purchasing decisions,” said Judy Reed Smith, ATLANTIC-ACM’s chief executive officer. “Earning the award for top corporate image, along with strong network quality, indicates Level 3 is working hard to deliver high-quality service, responsibly.”
