HFN Launches Exclusive Ultra Low-latency Wireless Services, Expanding Critical Portfolio for Financial Community

PARAMUS, N.J.–()–Hudson Fiber Network (HFN), the leading U.S.-based transport and IP services provider specializing in delivering network solutions to the financial community, announced today that it will exclusively distribute ULL Networks’ ultra-low-latency RF wireless connectivity capabilities within the New York and New Jersey metropolitan areas.

Through its exclusive relationship with ULL Networks, HFN will provide custom ultra-low-latency wireless and hybrid network options to financial clients seeking the lowest-latency solutions available. Ultra-low-latency wireless solutions leverage speed advantages provided by shortest path wireless connections between sites.

“HFN is proud to be the exclusive provider of ULL Networks ultra-low-latency RF wireless products in greater New York. Our clients are some of the most influential players in the financial industry. By introducing this capability to our extensive lowest-latency fiber routes, we have the versatility to offer the financial community stand-alone fiber and wireless services, as well as hybrid services, based on each customer’s specific needs,” said Brett Diamond, President of HFN. “Our partnership with ULL furthers our capabilities as the premier provider of low-latency services across the board nationwide, with a specific focus on the New York and New Jersey metropolitan areas.”

“HFN was the partner of choice for ULL networks in the New York/New Jersey market. Their lowest-latency fiber routes, now coupled with wireless, are simply the best offerings in market,” adds Ed Kopko, CEO of ULL Networks. “Our best-of-breed wireless services will help HFN’s financial customer base by giving them seamless access to ultra-low-latency options in the ongoing pursuit of the highest possible performance.”

HFN will offer ultra low-latency RF wireless services at the maximum available bandwidth of 1 Gig with latency reduction ranging from 30 to 60 percent depending on the wireless route. Fiber latency measurements are calculated through a number of factors, including, but not limited to, distance of route, infrastructure utilized and current technological capabilities. Wireless routes will be offered for connections between major New York and New Jersey exchange points, including the NY1, NY4, NY8 and NY9 facilities, and facilities in Weehawken, Mahwah and Carteret, New Jersey. Nationwide routes to Chicago facilities will also be available.

HFN and ULL Networks will partner together to provide additional routes in the future.
