Los Angeles, Calif. – U.S. TelePacific Corp., which does business as TelePacific Communications (TelePacific), has announced that Hilary Gadda, Director of Telepartner Channels, has been named to CompTIA’s Telecom Advisory Council, a new industry group centered on the growing convergence of telecommunications and information technology (IT).
CompTIA is a recognized authority in IT education and public policy advocacy, and the largest non-profit IT trade association in the world. Its Telecom Advisory Council was created to provide strategic insight and vendor-neutral guidance on the evolving and expanding relationships between agents who sell telecom services and IT solution providers who focus on data needs – historically two separate sales channels that are moving closer together out of business necessity and customer demand.
“I’m honored to be a member of CompTIA’s Telecom Advisory Council and I’m looking forward to working with the other council members,” says Gadda. “CompTIA is at the forefront of the IT industry and this council will play a huge role in shaping best practices for successfully selling and supporting communications solutions as telecom and IT continue to converge.”
Gadda’s background, experience and role in overseeing the Telepartner channel for TelePacific made her an ideal candidate for the council, according to Annette Taber, Vice President, Channel Strategies at CompTIA. “Hilary is a respected and insightful leader in the telecom industry,” says Taber. “Her contributions will be very valuable as we work to better understand the issues and challenges facing telecom today.”
Among the issues the council intends to explore are strategies for setting sales and revenue goals and commitments; establishing and protecting account ownership, rules for interfacing with customers; the need for formal contracts and communications; project management rules; adoption of new technologies, business models and vertical markets; and operational process efficiencies.
