Epsilon Solves the Last Mile Challenge in Enterprise Networking

Enterprise Connect uses Epsilon’s 400+ national and international operator relationships to simplify network access to enterprise locations globally

Singapore – February 05, 2013  – Epsilon Telecommunications, the world’s largest global telecoms network exchange, has extended its reach into the last mile to give network operators a new alternative for connecting enterprise networks globally. Its Enterprise Connect solution removes the need for network operators to pursue multiple agreements with operators wherever they need last mile connectivity for their enterprise customers.

The last mile is traditionally labour intensive and inefficient so Enterprise Connect offers an outsourced alternative that includes quoting, ordering and provisioning networks as well as service management and billing. This means that network operators can simplify connecting multiple sites globally with a complete solution while realising cost savings from not having to put these agreements in place themselves.

“Epsilon’s outsourcing model has simplified interconnection for network operators between global telecoms hubs and we are taking that a step further by including the last mile. It’s a logical move that our operator partners and prospects are demanding,” says Irwin Fouwels, Chief Commercial Officer at Epsilon Telecommunications. “Epsilon’s global core network and extensive partner network allows us to provide complete solutions across all network layers,  as well as  local public Internet access services with optional  managed customer premises equipment, be it for back-up purposes or  internet based VPNs”

eConnect Benefits

  • Complete – One source for provisioning, billing and management globally
  • Cost-Efficient – Trusted relationships and agreements are already in place
  • Carrier Neutral – Built to serve the carrier community without competing
  • Agile – 400+ operators are pre-connected on Epsilon’s network exchange allowing for efficient provisioning and shortened lead times.

“In finding a trusted alternative for interconnect of regional carriers – and that has both the expertise and the global reach to meet our needs, Epsilon’s has shown that they can do it. They are close to delivering exactly what network operators need in this market,” says Per Raaum, Director, Managed Services at Telenor Global Services.

Epsilon was founded by Andreas Hipp and two other entrepreneurs in early 2003. The company is still 100% privately owned and has office locations in Singapore, the United Kingdom and Hong Kong. Epsilon provides telecommunication services from delivering simple point-to-point leased lines to a fully managed global presence. It is carrier neutral as its target market is exclusively carriers and service providers, making it a focused wholesale operator.
