QuinStreet Deploys Level 3 SIP Solution to Support Growing Online Marketing and Media Business

International Internet Marketer Relies on Level 3 to Support Expansion

BROOMFIELD, Colo., Aug. 6, 2012 /PRNewswire/ — Level 3 Communications, Inc. (LVLT) today announced that QuinStreet, an Internet marketing and media company, has chosen Level 3’s SIP-based services to complement and support its expanding online media business.

QuinStreet owns a network of websites that enable consumers to research and make informed choices about online products and services. Its primary clients are in the education, financial services, business-to-business, home services, and medical and health industries.

QuinStreet is using Level 3 high-speed Internet protocol services as the foundation for a more widely deployed SIP-based solution. SIP-based services allow enterprises to converge voice and data on a single network, creating tangible network and operational expense savings while laying a foundation for the use of next generation communications and collaboration tools.

“We decided to expand our IP voice services with Level 3,” said Hemi Blandford, senior director of corporate IT at QuinStreet. “We wanted a strong, broad-based networking partner. Level 3 is already having a positive impact, enabling us to assess our network needs, develop the right solution, and implement services that are more efficient and scalable to support our business growth. This is increasingly important as we expand our solutions for clients here and into new regions and markets, such as Brazil.”

The company also is using Level 3 voice services to connect its headquarters in Foster City, Calif., to its Portland and Florida call center locations, as well as to locations in San Francisco and Las Vegas. Level 3 toll-free numbers will support the company’s website banner ads for the various vertical segment customers they support.

“We’re pleased we were able to help QuinStreet streamline its IP and SIP-based services with a more efficient and scalable solution,” said Andrew Crouch, Level 3 regional president of North America Sales. “Level 3 is proud of the skill and expertise of its network architects, who consult with our customers to design a network that meets their needs today, and provides a solution that will help evolve their business into the future.”
