Frontier Communications’ Melinda M. White Honored As “Woman of Power and Influence” by the New York Chapter of NOW

STAMFORD, Conn.–(BUSINESS WIRE)– The New Yorkchapter of the National Organization for Women(NOW) has honored Melinda M. White, Executive Vice President of Revenue Developmentat Frontier Communications Corporation(NYSE:FTR, news, filings), as a “Woman of Power and Influence.” The award was presented to White by NOW’s New Yorkchapter at its 24th annual Women of Power and Influence awards dinner onJune 21.

 

White leads wireless, video, online and new business strategy for Frontier’s operations in 27 states. The products and services developed enhance life in rural and suburban America. For example, municipal Wi-Fi networks across Frontier markets create wireless hotspots that allow fast and convenient access to the Internet in anchor stores, community centers and parks. She led the development and launch of TumTiki.com, an online library of TV episodes, movies, local content, professionally-produced clips and original web series with more than one million videos available nationally for free viewing.

Earlier, White was Executive Vice President andGeneral Managerof Marketing and New Business Operations, responsible for company-wide Marketing and Product and before that, Senior Vice President, Commercial Sales and Marketing, responsible for wholesale and retail revenue, product marketing and wireless operations. White joined the company in 2005 as Vice President andGeneral ManagerofElectric Lightwave, Inc., a unit of the company that she managed and helped position for sale toIntegra Telecomin 2006.

Before joiningFrontier Communications, White was Executive Vice President, National Accounts/Business Development forWink Communications, developing low-cost, end-to-end e-commerce systems. She also held senior leadership positions atCox Communicationsand Cellular One (McCawand the AT&T/AirTouch joint venture).

White earned a Bachelor of Business Administration fromHoward Payne UniversityinTexasand a Master of Business Administration degree fromTulane UniversityinNew Orleans, Louisiana.
