Inmarsat Government Launches Enhanced Website

Herndon, VA, May 31, 2012 – Inmarsat Government, the business unit of Inmarsat Solutions dedicated to delivering solutions and services to the US government sector, today announced a new launch intended to address the changing needs of its customers. It wasn’t a satellite, but rather a new website. The all-new inmarsatgov.com reflects the new image and identity of the Inmarsat Government business unit and the dynamic nature of the market it supports.

In January 2012, Inmarsat’s US government business was combined with Stratos and Segovia and rebranded as Inmarsat Government. The Inmarsat Government business unit provides global, secure, end-to-end solutions to meet the mission-critical telecommunications needs of US government customers.

“We are well positioned to address US government users’ need for mobility, interoperability and security with end-to-end network communication services that provide the levels of reliability, security and efficiency these customers demand today,” said David Helfgott, President & CEO of Inmarsat Government. “Our new website tells this story and provides our customers with comprehensive information and resources to access and benefit from our world-class communications solutions.”

The new website will help Inmarsat Government more easily promote current and enhanced services and launch new capabilities based on customers’ requirements. The website will provide Inmarsat Government customers and channel partners with an in-depth understanding of its offerings and how these solutions can be best implemented through a wide range of secure products, infrastructure and contract vehicles.

Inmarsat Government brings together satellite capacity, terrestrial infrastructure, customer support and Information Assurance to meet mission demands of a wide range of US government users. These solutions are platform-agnostic and fully interoperable with existing

customer infrastructure. They will also integrate easily with Inmarsat’s new global Ka-band network, Global Xpress™, to be launched in 2013. By working as a partner to the US public sector, especially during today’s challenging budget environment, Inmarsat Government enables continued delivery of critical communications that ensure cost-efficiency.
