Tony Tomae has been appointed Executive Vice President and Chief Revenue Officer
SOUTH BURLINGTON, Vt. (April 16, 2012) – FairPoint Communications, Inc. today announced Tony Tomae has been appointed Executive Vice President and Chief Revenue Officer effective April 23, 2012.
Tony will report to Chief Executive Officer Paul Sunu and will be responsible for all aspects of FairPoint’s sales, marketing and product development functions.
“Growth in business and transport services on our next-generation IP/MPLS network are key to the transformation of FairPoint’s revenue base,” Sunu said. “Tony brings to FairPoint deep knowledge of sales and marketing in the telecom sector, including particular strengths in the business segment. His past experiences as an executive vice president, sales and marketing, as well as his years as an executive leading revenue growth in the competitive telecom marketplace give him a unique perspective and key skills that will help FairPoint drive that transformation.”
Tony’s experience in sales and marketing spans 22 years, including positions with Deltacom where he served as Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing and WilTel Communications where he was Senior Vice President of Marketing. He has also held positions with AT&T and Broadwing Communications. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing from Fairleigh Dickinson University in Madison, N.J.�
