Verizon Takes the Wraps off the Borderless Lifestyle at 2012 International Consumer Electronics Show

Demonstrations to Show How Verizon Is Breaking Down Old-Tech Barriers to Drive Innovation Delivered by Verizon’s 4G LTE, Fiber-Optic and Global IP Networks

January 06, 2012

NEW YORK At the 2012 International CES next week, Verizon and a wide range of technology ecosystem partners will demonstrate how they are creating innovative solutions and breaking down old-technology barriers to meet the communications and entertainment needs of consumers and businesses.

“Connectivity has reached unprecedented levels, thanks to a rapid pace of innovation driven as much by consumers as the needs of industry,” said John Stratton, president of Verizon Enterprise Solutions. “Verizon enables the connectivity that consumers want – both directly and through the many businesses we serve around the globe.  The technology we’ll be showcasing at CES illustrates how Verizon continues to create connections that improve how customers live and work — anytime, anywhere.”

Stratton will be part of the CES Innovation Power Panel taking place at 9 a.m. PT Wednesday (Jan. 11) in the Las Vegas Hilton Theater. The panel, which also includes CEOs from Xerox and Ford Motor Co., will explore how a spirit of innovation and entrepreneurship helped make their companies global leaders in their respective industries. Verizon will webcast the power panel live.

Many of the demonstrations are the result of work done as part of Verizon’s Innovation Program, and highlight collaborations among multiple companies in industries that include automotive, gaming, multi-screen entertainment, health and wellness, home automation and more.  For news and information about Verizon’s presence at CES, visit www.verizonwireless.com/cesand newscenter.verizon.com/ces/.
