NTT America to Address Broadband Advancements and Infrastructure Development in the U.S. and Latin America at Telecom Industry Events

Executives from Tier-1 Global IP Network provider to highlight expertise on content delivery and network services infrastructure

NEW YORK – January 26, 2012 – NTT America, a wholly owned U.S. subsidiary of NTT Communications Corporation (NTT Com) and a Tier-1 global IP network services provider, today announced that the company will participate in and present at key industry events during the first quarter of 2012.

NTT America will participate in the following events:

NANOG 54 – Feb. 5-8 in San Diego, Calif.

NewNOG, a community-based nonprofit and current owner of the North American Network Operators Group (NANOG), is an educational forum for the network operator and vendor communities. At NANOG 54, Shawn Morris, manager, IP engineering, Global IP Network, NTT America, will participate in a panel titled “Smart Management for Robust Carrier Network Health and Reduced TCO!” on Tuesday, Feb. 7 from 9:45 a.m. to 11 a.m. (PT).

Additionally, as part of NTT America’s yearlong Diamond Sponsorship, the company will

co-sponsor a social party with CoreSite, taking place aboard the USS Midway on Monday, Feb. 6 from 6:30 p.m. to 11 p.m. (PT).

Capacity Caribbean – Feb. 7-8 in Montego Bay, Jamaica

Brent Duncan, vice president, sales & marketing, Global IP Network, NTT America, will join other industry leaders to share insight on the telecommunications customer landscape in the Caribbean. The panel titled, “Focus on Customer Needs in the Next 5 Years: What Do Customers Require from Operators?” will take place on Tuesday, Feb. 7 at 2:45 p.m. to 3:15 p.m. (ET). Capacity LATAM – March 5-7 in Sao Paulo, Brazil

NTT America boasts a significant presence at Capacity LATAM this year, with two executives participating in high-profile speaking opportunities. Michael Wheeler, vice president, NTT Communications Global IP Network, NTT America, will participate in a panel titled, “Infrastructure Development and Investment in Latin American Markets: Terrestrial, Submarine and Satellite Connectivity,” on Tuesday, March 6 at 11:15 a.m. to noon (BRT).

On Wednesday, March 7, David Berrios, director, business development, Latin America, NTT America, will participate in a panel titled, “The Carrier Perspective: Managing and Monetising Content Delivery in South America,” at 12:15 p.m. to 1 p.m. (BRT).

Additionally, NTT America will sponsor a technology workshop taking place on Monday, March 5, prior to the start of the conference. The workshop, titled “Best Practices for Network and Operational Management,” is designed as a high-level forum to provide Latin American network operators the opportunity to learn from industry experts, such as NTT America, that have significant real-world experience in Network Operations Center (NOC) and operational management. Attendees will also have the opportunity to discuss their own experiences, challenges and successes with the experts, as well as problem solve from theoretical case studies and develop effective strategies to optimize their networks.
