Integra Partners with Switch Communications to Provide Fiber to Nevada Wholesale Customers

PORTLAND, Ore., January 4, 2012 – Integra Telecom, Inc., a provider of fiber-based, business grade networking, communications and cloud solutions, is supporting enterprise growth in Nevada with the expansion of its Carrier Ethernet capabilities to Switch Communication’s Las Vegas SuperNAP data center. The move provides Switch’s enterprise customers the services they need to be successful by giving them access to Integra’s high capacity Ethernet, metro DWDM (dense wavelength-division multiplexing) and long-haul transport services.

“This is an important step for us to continue our goal of providing our high-speed fiber network to strategic locations throughout the west,” said Joe Harding, senior vice president of product and marketing at Integra Telecom. “Switch’s client base includes wholesale and enterprise retail customers that need high-capacity transport between their location and SuperNAP.”

Switch’s Nevada SuperNAP facility provides colocation, connectivity and cloud services for Fortune 1000 corporations, as well as mid-sized enterprises, government agencies and other businesses conducting mission-critical business on the Internet. The company looked to Integra to provide the seamless, solid and stable network reliability its customers demand.

“Our enterprise customers have huge data transfer needs,” said Chris Donnelly, chief marketing officer at Switch. “With Integra’s high speed fiber network we can provide the service, support, reliability and latency they need to ensure the continued success of their business.”
