zColo extends colocation and interconnection services to Pittsburgh

Demand for Interconnection Services Drives New Facilities Outside Top Tier Markets

LOUISVILLE, Colo.– August 24, 2011zColo, a network neutral provider of colocation and interconnection services, announced it will begin offering its services in Pittsburgh, PA, growing its footprint to 11 colocation facilities nationally.  The Pittsburgh Meet-Me-Room provides multiple connection options for enterprise, carrier and technology providers to interconnect in a single, secure and reliable environment.   The Pittsburgh facility, located in the premier carrier hotel in Pittsburgh at 2500 Allegheny Center Mall, is the sixth facility addition for zColo in 2011, bringing its colocation space footprint to more than 170,000 sq. ft.

Customers leveraging the Pittsburgh Meet-Me-Room will be accessing Zayo’s unique local fiber footprint including connection to more than 4,000 on-net locations nationally as well as access to 13 existing carrier customer networks for regional out-of-market transport requirements.  zColo will be growing this network accessibility in the future delivering its proven interconnection environment to the Pittsburgh market.
