Frontier Communications Kicks Off “Game On!”

Original Web Series Featuring Local High School Sports Premieres on www.myfitv.com
Always be on the 50-Yard Line for High School Football Games in 14 States
STAMFORD, Conn., Aug 25, 2011 (BUSINESS WIRE) — Frontier Communications (NYSE:FTR, news, filings) announced today that it is launching Game On!, original video productions featuring some of the country’s premier high school football games. The series kicks off August 26th with games between Granger and Carter High Schools in Rutledge, Tennessee and Columbus and Kearney High Schools in Columbus, Nebraska.

Frontier is partnering with MaxPreps.com, the online high school sports leader, to capture contests in 7-10 minute “condensed games.” The videos, shot in select Frontier markets, will feature game highlights, key plays and player and coach interviews. The games will be available on demand 24 hours after the final whistle for free viewing exclusively at http://www.myfitv.com/GameOn.

On game days, Frontier employees will be on site to cheer on their children and local teams and distribute prizes and giveaways for football fans. “We are thrilled to bring this program to our communities,” said David Asch, Senior Vice President of Internet and Video at Frontier. “High school football is a real passion in the communities we serve. ‘Game On!’ is a great way to be a part of the excitement at these local events and let fans and faraway friends and family watch key matchups online. “Game On!” also features a unique social media component that allows fans to share their experiences by uploading game videos to http://www.YouTube.com/FrontierGameOn. These videos will be highlighted on the “Game On” YouTube channel and rotated on http://www.myfitv.com. Some Frontier regions plan to hold contests with prizes for top fan-submitted videos.
