FiberLight Recognized With Fast 40 Award by Georgia Trend Magazine Two Years In A Row

ATLANTA— FiberLight, LLC©, one of the nation’s leading providers of mission-critical, high-performance fiber optic network solutions, announced today it has been named again as one of Georgia’s fastest growing companies by Georgia Trend magazine. FiberLight, which is headquartered in Atlanta, ranked 3rd among small mid-market companies for the 2011 Georgia “Fast 40,” presented by the Association for Corporate Growth Atlanta Chapter (ACG) and Founder and Diamond sponsor Cherry, Bekaert & Holland, LLP.  In 2010, FiberLight received recognition by Georgia Trend magazine when it was ranked 5th among Georgia’s small mid-market companies.

Founded in 2005 by a team of telecommunications industry veterans, FiberLight and its investor, Thermo Companies, have grown the private Georgia firm from a regional carrier with a handful of markets to one of the top telecommunications companies in the nation offering a full product portfolio and deep metro footprints in 23 markets in the Southwest, Southeast and Mid Atlantic regions.  Today, FiberLight offers a full portfolio of LightSource® products serving government, enterprise, educational institutions, carriers and web-centric businesses requiring high capacity end-to-end network solutions, while continuing to develop new networks in Georgia, Florida, Texas, Baltimore, Maryland and Washington, D.C.

From 2007 to 2010, FiberLight increased its revenue by 329 percent while simultaneously maintaining a low debt ratio and high EBITDA margin.  FiberLight President and COO Kevin B. Coyne said the company continues to exceed industry averages in growth and profitability because of its ability to form strategic partnerships while simultaneously adhering to a strict payment model when building new networks.

“We are deeply honored to receive recognition from Georgia Trend for our continued marketplace success,” Mr. Coyne said. “Receiving this award reinforces my belief that our seasoned management team offers the best mix of expertise and foresight to build our business profitably and organically while delivering a great customer experience to our enterprise, government and carrier clients.”

To qualify for the Georgia Trend award, companies must be headquartered in Georgia and have net sales ranging from $20 million to $50 million while exhibiting three years of sustained revenue and employment growth.

Greg Cinnamon, ACG Atlanta and Georgia Fast 40 Chairman stated, “What sets your company and our other honorees apart is the grit and inspiration you have demonstrated in meeting the difficult challenges and making the difficult choices as we have emerged from the Great Recession. The quality of your leadership, the dedication of your employees and your focus on innovation are all to be commended.”
