LOUISVILLE, Colo. – June 24, 2011 – Zayo, a provider of bandwidth infrastructure services and carrier-neutral colocation, announced today that it will be expanding its fiber network in Cincinnati, Ohio as part of an agreement to deliver services for one of its large wholesale customers.
“Zayo’s approach is to extend the reach of its fiber network to support the needs of its customers,” explained Matt Erickson, President of Zayo Fiber Solutions. “This Cincinnati expansion is typical of how customers drive the geographic expansion of Zayo’s unique fiber networks.”
Several miles of new network will be added as a result of this expansion. These newly built miles will add to Zayo’s existing network in the Cincinnati’s central business district and surrounding area. As part of the expansion, Zayo will double its on-net building count in Cincinnati and will bolster the route diversity.
Zayo’s Cincinnati network also provides access to bandwidth infrastructure services throughout Zayo’s Northeast and Midwest regional network, which includes Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, Pennsylvania, New York, New Jersey, Virginia, West Virginia and Washington, D.C.
