V-Private Moves Applications Infrastructure to Interxion

FRANKFURT 16 June 2011INTERXION HOLDING NV (NYSE:INXN, news), a leading European provider of carrier-neutral colocation data centre services, today announced that V-Private, a leading operator of international MPLS (Multi Protocol Label Switching) network services, has moved a significant part of its IT application services to Interxion’s Frankfurt data centre campus.

Located in state-of-the-art data centre facilities across Europe, Interxion’s data centres act as true Content Hubs, offering secure and highly connected physical space, high-density power and proximity to a community of digital content companies and their audiences. The Content Hubs offer an ideal environment for the effective aggregation, management and distribution of on-demand and real-time online content.

By housing its environment within Interxion’s Frankfurt site, V-Private is able to provide international connectivity to national and regional telecommunications companies and other partners, such as digital media companies. V-Private’s services include the transport network management of popular local events, including motor racing and extreme sports, such as the Red Bull Air Race and freestyle motocross.

To ensure the smooth and uninterrupted supply of these video streams to PCs, smartphones, tablet PCs, and other devices, secure and highly available data networks are essential. V-Private uses Interxion’s data centre infrastructure to build out ultra-reliable, point-to-point data connections with the highest levels of performance at lowest latencies through its global MPLS services.
