CTO to share insight on the state of cloud services and how service providers can add value to IP transport offerings

WHAT:

Doug Junkins, chief technology officer at NTT America, will participate in back-to-back panel discussions at the Carrier Cloud Forum at Interop Las Vegas. The panels, hosted by Light Reading and Heavy Reading, will focus on the topic of cloud-based services and include NTT America’s insight as a Tier-1 Global IP service provider.

First, Junkins will join Scott Cain, head global portfolio manager at BT Global Services and Carol Wilson, chief editor of events at Light Reading, to discuss the industry’s momentum with deploying cloud services in a panel titled, “A Conversation with Carriers.”

Second, Junkins will participate in a panel titled, “Monetizing the Cloud: Turning XaaS-Related Services into a Profitable Business.” In this presentation, Junkins will once again join other industry experts to explore how cloud-based services will evolve to be profit engines of the future, as well as ways to make better service translate into market success. Specific discussion points include: the opportunity cloud computing presents for service providers to add value to their IP transport offerings by developing XaaS offerings; and how providers can differentiate their services and pair them with user-friendly Service Level Agreements.
