Boost Mobile Recognized by J.D. Power as Highest-Ranked Non-Contract Company in Overall Customer Satisfaction Performance

Boost customers take notice of company’s price and plan offerings, network performance and reliability, and overall service excellence

IRVINE, Calif. (BUSINESS WIRE), March 31, 2011 – Boost Mobile, a leader in no-contract wireless service with its popular $50 Monthly Unlimited plan, came out on top in the J.D. Power and Associates 2011 Wireless Non-Contract Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) StudySM announced today. This is the first top ranking for Boost Mobile in a J.D. Power study representing the highest-performing non-contract wireless company delivering service excellence to U.S. customers.

“Boost Mobile has a strong history of taking a leadership position as a customer advocate in the no-contract space,” said Andre Smith, vice president-Boost Mobile. “Today’s recognition is a great proof point of our focus on driving customer loyalty with no contract through the nationwide Sprint network, diverse handset selection and monthly service plan that shrinks from $50 to as low as $35 over time.”

In October 2010, Boost Mobile launched an industry first with the $50 Monthly Unlimited with Shrinkage plan, where the longer you stay, the less you pay, simply by making on-time payments. For every six on-time payments, a Boost Mobile customer’s monthly cost will shrink by $5, eventually getting down to as low as $35 a month for unlimited nationwide talk, text, Web, e-mail, IM and calls to 411. Payments do not need to be consecutive to qualify for the next savings milestone. The first wave of Boost customers will be hitting their first six-month milestone in April, and start paying $45 per month for Monthly Unlimited service.

The J.D. Power study surveyed more than 6,400 wireless consumers across 9 providers, measuring the opinions of consumers with their non-contract wireless service during July through December 2010. Each carrier was measured on customers’ satisfaction with several key factors: performance and reliability, cost of service, account management, initial activation, service plan offerings, and customer service.

Boost Mobile’s performance in the J.D. Power and Associates study underscores its commitment in meeting its customers’ wireless service expectations in this very competitive field. The award combines customer sentiment on both the Boost iDEN and CDMA networks.

“This recognition wouldn’t be possible without the support of our front-line care representatives and our network of Boost authorized sales partners, who both play a critical role in serving our customers’ daily needs,” Smith said. “We are also thankful for our strong handset partnerships, providing Boost Mobile customers with a diverse handset line-up, ranging from entry-level devices to Android™ and Blackberry® smartphones at reasonable prices.”
