INTEGRA TELECOM PARTNERS WITH JUNIOR ACHIEVEMENT OF WASHINGTON; EXECUTIVE JOINS BOARD

Integra to Help Empower Young People to Achieve Business Success through Volunteering and Investment in Education

Seattle, Feb. 18, 2011Integra Telecom Inc., a voice and Internet services provider for business, has entered a 10-year partnership with Junior Achievement of Washington to help grow and nurture the state’s next generation of business leaders and entrepreneurs. The senior vice president of Integra Telecom of Washington, Matt Smith, will also join the organization’s Washington board of directors.

Integra’s employees in Washington will also volunteer to teach Junior Achievement curriculum in K-12 classrooms as part of the company’s Community Matters Program. In addition, the telecom provider is sponsoring all of the state’s JA BizTown facilities—a hands-on, fully interactive simulated city that exposes students to business in the real world— by providing all the telecom equipment and expertise needed to operate a telecom simulation.
