IPC Systems Expands European Infrastructure with TelecityGroup

Presence in highly-connected London Docklands facility expands IPC’s global financial services network to meet customer demand

IPC Systems, Inc., a leading provider of trading communications solutions to the world’s top financial services firms and global enterprises, has expanded its core financial networking infrastructure to TelecityGroup’s Sovereign House facility in Docklands, London. The expansion, in one of London’s most highly-connected data centres, will support IPC’s growing customer demand for its portfolio of Electronic Connectivity Services (“ECS”).

The IPC global network platform ensures fast, secure and reliable access to a community of more than 2,400 trading floors and 4,000 on-net financial sites worldwide, linking 200 cities in 77 countries across six continents. The expansion will provide the participants already on IPC’s global financial network with secure, low-latency dedicated ECS and Enhanced Voice Services to TelecityGroup’s facility, which hosts a variety of key Internet and Financial Exchanges.

IPC’s network, which has built-in resiliency for the highest levels of service availability and low-latency performance, will also provide additional connectivity options for TelecityGroup’s customers in Sovereign House to key financial markets across the world.

Bryan Clarke, Senior Manager, Carrier and Exchange Relationships EMEA, IPC, comments: “To provide optimum service and connectivity options for our customer base, we need our network to extend to the key strategic financial data centres across the globe. TelecityGroup’s Sovereign House facility is at the heart of the digital economy in London, and our presence there will significantly strengthen our ability to meet the specialised needs of our financial customers.”

IPC, which already has presence at TelecityGroup’s Bonnington House data centre in the Docklands, will utilise its new expansion into Sovereign House to support its portfolio of ECS. IPC’s ECS solutions allow organisations to benefit from dedicated bandwidth and scalable and flexible connectivity capabilities to support their evolving electronic trading requirements.

Adriaan Oosthoek, Country Manager UK & Ireland, TelecityGroup, added: “IPC has a proven global footprint connecting the world’s major financial centres, providing high quality, reliable and scalable connectivity choices for our customers in Bonnington House, and now in Sovereign House as well. The quantity of major financial exchanges hosted in Sovereign House means it is a key strategic data centre for financial services companies to have a presence at. We’re delighted that IPC has further recognised our ability to provide the most highly connected and resilient data centre environments, and we look forward to expanding our relationship with the company.”
