Terremark’s Enterprise Cloud Selected as Gold Winner of Best of VMworld 2010 Award in Public/Hybrid Cloud Computing Technologies Category

MIAMI, Sep 02, 2010 (BUSINESS WIRE) — Terremark Worldwide, Inc. (NASDAQ:TMRK), a leading global provider of managed IT infrastructure services, today announced that its Enterprise Cloud was chosen a Best of VMworld 2010 Award Winner in the Public/Hybrid Cloud Computing Technologies category, which encompassed Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) offerings. An independent team of judges, consisting of experts and editors from SearchServerVirtualization.com, reviewed and evaluated the products in each category according to innovation, value, performance, reliability, and ease of use.

According to SearchServerVirtualization.com, the judges selected the company’s Enterprise Cloud because “…Terremark’s cloud offering, which is based on VMware virtualization, provides security services that supersede anything IT pros can build in-house.” Finalists in the Public/Hybrid Cloud Computing Technologies category were Skytap Inc. for Skytap Cloud and Microsoft for Windows Azure Platform.

“We are proud to have our Enterprise Cloud recognized as a Best of VMworld 2010 Award winner,” said Randy Rowland, Terremark’s Senior Vice President of Product Development. “Since its initial launch more than two years ago, the Enterprise Cloud’s highly innovative suite of features, from managed security services to dynamic capacity management, has helped establish our solution as the industry’s leading IaaS offering for enterprises and federal government agencies.”
