CenturyLink and Children’s Museum Challenge Facebook Fans in Southwest Florida

Naples, FL – Facebook fans in Southwest Florida have a chance to give The Golisano Children’s Museum of Naples (C’mon) a $10,000 boost in preparation for its planned 2011 opening. CenturyLink, the local high speed internet and telephone provider, will donate $1 for every person who clicks the like button on C’mon’s fan page up to $10,000.

“We’re very excited about this partnership,” said Brian Hamman, CenturyLink’s manager of market development. “We care about connecting communities through our expansive network. We hope Southwest Florida will rally around C’mon and get us to our goal of 10,000 fans.”

C’mon’s fan page can be found on Facebook by searching for “Children’s Museum of Naples.” Once there, just click the Like button and CenturyLink will make a donation. In addition, fans can also suggest the page to their Facebook friends in an effort to reach 10,000 even faster.

“We hope that our fans will help us spread the word,” said Joe Cox, executive director of the Children’s Museum. “We appreciate CenturyLink issuing this challenge and we ask that everyone help us by posting a status update that encourages their friends to like our page.”

About the Golisano Children’s Museum of Naples

The Golisano Children’s Museum of Naples will be Southwest Florida’s first learning environment devoted exclusively to child’s play, the serious business of discovery that helps children attain hallmark milestones on the journey into adulthood. Scheduled to open in 2011, C’mon will be a 30,000-square-foot museum for families located in the North Collier Regional Park (on Livingston Road just south of Immokalee Road). More than a building, C’mon presents a well-rounded universe that is full of exhibits and programs that lead children and their families on a journey from the swamps of the Everglades to the outer reaches of the galaxy and from an experience at an art studio to a day at the beach. The Golisano Children’s Museum of Naples will be fully accessible to all children regardless of their physical or learning ability. To learn more, visit www.cmon.org.
