INTEGRA TELECOM NAMES MATT SMITH SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT FOR WASHINGTON STATE

Renton, Wash. – Aug. 3, 2010 – Integra Telecom Inc., an integrated communications provider for business, has named Matt Smith senior vice president for Integra Telecom of Washington. In this role, Smith will oversee the company’s operations, services and new business development throughout Washington state.

Smith most recently served as senior vice president of Integra’s California/Nevada service area and previous to that as vice president of sales for Integra Telecom of Washington. He is based out of Renton, Wash. and reports to Steve Wachter, COO for Integra Telecom.

“Matt has a proven track record of successfully leading Integra’s business in key markets, and we are excited to have him return to the Northwest and lead our Washington service area,” said Wachter. “Matt understands the financial and operational elements of Integra Telecom’s communications offering, and is able to effectively lead the Washington workforce in serving customers and maintaining Integra’s local network.”

Smith originally joined Integra Telecom in 2007 following the company’s acquisition of Eschelon Telecom, where he spent seven years primarily serving as the company’s director of sales in Seattle. Before that, he held various positions within the financial services industry.

Smith earned a bachelor’s degree from Willamette University in Salem, Ore.
