Pacnet Launches 3G Mobile Broadband

SYDNEY, 15th July 2010 – Pacnet, Asia’s leading business telecommunications service provider, today announced the launch of its new range of Mobile Broadband plans. The company has engineered its offering to be unique in the market, enhancing the product to provide true benefits to Australian businesses.

“We are the only provider in the market to be offering the product designed for use in a layer 2 MPLS network,” said Deborah Homewood, chief executive officer of Pacnet Australia and New Zealand.

“Pacnet is dedicated to delivering the highest-quality and most resilient private networks in the market. We are enabling businesses to utilise integrated 3G access path for roaming, redundant or remote access where a fixed line connection is unavailable, which enables us to deliver increased value for Small to Medium Enterprises (SMEs),” added Ms Homewood.

As Australian businesses deploy more web-based applications and cloud-based services, enterprises should be increasingly concerned about internet up time. Pacnet solves internet downtime issues with their Business Connect bundle. For just $249 per month, the package provides complete connectivity solution for business: ADSL 2+, 3G back-up, a mobile 3G dongle and the hardware required for a smooth fail over and fail back in the event of an internet outage.

Through partnership with Optus, Pacnet will deliver 3G access for layer 2 MPLS, as a bundle to solve downtime worries as well as provide a range of standard 3G internet plans to meet the growing mobility needs of businesses. The new plans are business-grade, each coming with a static IP address as standard and 24×7 access to our qualified technical support team that has a long history of service excellence.

“Pacnet is abreast of the growing demands of the business community and has responded by offering options that address the needs of modern businesses more innovatively than any other provider.  We also know that businesses appreciate the high level of customer service that we deliver to the market,” added Ms Homewood.
