HERNDON, Va., June 7, 2010 – Segovia, Inc., a leading provider of secure global voice, video, and data communication solutions, announced today that its Quality Management System has been recommended for continued ISO 9001:2008 Registration. Conducted by Segovia’s registrar, NSAI Inc., a US subsidiary of the National Standards Authority of Ireland (NSAI), the comprehensive audit took place on May 25 and 26, 2010. Over 2 days, Mr. Buddy Godbout and Mr. Paul Boettcher from NSAI assessed Segovia’s system of policies, processes, procedures, tools, roles and responsibilities used to manage the Quality Management System. No non-conformances or comments were noted as a result of NSAI’s registration audit.

According to Mark Wilson, Vice President of IT Engineering at Segovia, “Over the past 3 years, the Quality Management System at Segovia has evolved into an important tool that enhances the company’s ability to deliver reliable and secure network solutions to our global customer base. The continued guidance of ISO 9001 will prove invaluable in our accomplishing ongoing improvements in support quality, increased customer satisfaction, and a dedicated, systematic approach to overall quality management.”

ISO 9001 is the most rigid certification for process qualifications and is intended for use in any organization which designs, develops, manufactures, installs and/or services any product or provides any form of service.ISO 9001 provides customers with objective proof that the compliant company has an effective quality management system and all of the standards’ requirements are met.

As a result of this recent re-registration, a new ISO 9001:2008 certificate will be issued to Segovia covering the 3-year period through January 2014. The next NSAI surveillance audit is scheduled for May 2011.
