Dialink Selects XO Communications to Provide Ethernet, DIA and VoIP Services

  • Addition of Ethernet Over Copper and Ethernet Over DS1 Services Will Allow Dialink to Offer Customers Next-Generation Voice and Data Solutions

HERNDON, VA – June 07, 2010 – XO Communications (OTCBB: XOHO) today announced that it has been selected by Dialink, a leading provider of VoIP network services to small and medium-sized businesses in Northern California, to provide Ethernet, DIA and VoIP services. By expanding its voice and IP services with XO, the company is well positioned to offer customers more scalable, cost-effective services, as well as grow its network footprint into the Southern California market.

Dialink approached XO at a time when Dialink’s traditional T1 customers were searching for a more economical IP service that could easily expand as their business needs grew. XO’s Ethernet over copper (EoC) and Ethernet over DS1 (EoDS1) services, with bandwidth options ranging from 3 Mbps up to 10 Gbps, offer the bandwidth flexibility and network reach Dialink requires. With XO’s VoIP origination and termination services added to the mix, the company will be able to offer end-to-end data and voice services.

“Working with XO, Dialink has a competitive advantage as we can now offer new and existing customers the comprehensive and cost-effective service solutions their evolving businesses require,” said Jeff Klapper, president of Dialink. “We look forward to growing our business with a company who shares our goal to provide the highest-level customer support and superior network services.”

XO’s extensive Ethernet infrastructure – which reaches nearly four million buildings nationwide – further affords Dialink the opportunity to move forward with plans to expand its network into Southern California.

“XO continues to invest in its IP and Ethernet infrastructures so we can quickly and effectively provide carriers of all sizes and their customers with customized Ethernet solutions that best meet their needs – whether its new customer demands or business expansion plans,” said Ernie Ortega, president of XO Carrier Services. “The solution we designed for Dialink brought significant value to their business by concurrently improving their service offerings and achieving significant cost savings.”
