Digital Realty Trust Receives Green Enterprise IT Visionary Award at Uptime Institute Symposium

Award Presented by Jones Lang LaSalle in Recognition of Digital Realty Trust’s Leadership in Datacenter Energy Efficiency and Sustainability

(NYSE:DLR, news, filings), the world’s largest wholesale datacenter provider, received the Green Enterprise IT Visionary Award at the fifth annual Uptime Institute Symposium in New York City on May 17, 2010. The Visionary Award recognizes an institution or firm that demonstrates a commitment to finding effective ways to reduce energy consumption and promote sustainability through innovation and best practices. Digital Realty Trust was presented with the award by Jones Lang LaSalle, the corporate sponsor of the 2010 Green Enterprise IT (GEIT) Awards presented by the Uptime Institute. The Visionary Award is sponsored and judged independently by Jones Lang LaSalle.

Digital Realty Trust received the award for its commitment to sustainability and innovation in the construction of a LEED certified data center utilizing full airside economization for more than 65 percent of each year. The LEED Platinum-certified datacenter project in Santa Clara, California is expected to save 3.5 million kilowatt hours of energy annually saving more than $250,000 per year at today’s energy prices.
