NTT Com to Establish New Global IP-VPN POPs in Asia, U.S.A. and Europe

TOKYO, JAPAN – NTT Communications (NTT Com) announced today plans to establish points of presence (POP) for its Arcstar™ Global IP-VPN services in Penang, Malaysia; Boston, U.S.A.; and Zurich, Switzerland to provide multinational companies with access to high-quality, cost-effective global managed network services in these key Asian, U.S. and European regional markets.

Applications for services are now being accepted.

The demand for global network services in strong in all three of these international business hubs. Northwest Malaysia has experienced a sharp rise in multinational companies, with the city of Penang now established as an important base for business process outsourcing services.

Boston, Massachusetts is home to a large number of finance and high-technology companies, particularly a high concentration of biotechnology firms.

Zurich also is a base for multinational companies, particularly in the fields of finance and pharmaceuticals. The POP in Zurich will be NTT Com’s first in Switzerland, where the company has been offering services through partner companies.
