Sacramento, Calif. – Jan. 13, 2009 – Integra Telecom Inc., an integrated communications provider for business, has promoted Matt Smith to senior vice president for Integra Telecom of California and Nevada. In this role, Smith will oversee the company’s operations, services and new business development throughout Integra’s California and Nevada markets. Smith, who previously served as vice president of sales for Integra Telecom of Washington, is based out of Sacramento, Calif. and reports to Jim Huesgen, president and chief operating officer of Integra Telecom.

Smith originally joined Integra Telecom in 2007 following the company’s acquisition of Eschelon Telecom, where he spent seven years primarily serving as the company’s director of sales in Seattle, Wash. Smith holds a bachelor’s degree from Willamette University in Salem, Ore.
